Our Journey: From Hello Mums to Tembo Care

Our story began in 2014 as Hello Mums. Founded by Kate and Jeremy, we started with a mission to revolutionise childcare by connecting families with professional carers who actually cared. Our commitment to high standards and "human-first" vetting quickly saw us become a trusted partner for nurseries, crèches, and private clubs across London.

For 12 years, we have been at the heart of the early years sector. That history matters because it defined our DNA. It taught us that safeguarding is non-negotiable and that the quality of a carer can change the entire atmosphere of a setting.

Today, as Tembo Care, we have expanded our circle. We have taken everything we learned about high-standard childcare and applied it to the broader world of adult and residential care. We aren't just a staffing agency; we are a family-run business that understands the weight of responsibility that comes with looking after others.

Kate – Co-Founder & Client Champion: An author and early years specialist with over two decades of experience. Kate is the driving force behind our Ofsted guides and our commitment to intergenerational care.
Jeremy – Co-Founder & IT Lead: Jeremy ensures our platform is as seamless and agile as the teams we support, blending technical expertise with a deep understanding of the logistical headaches managers face daily.
Detti – Early Years Expert: A veteran of London’s nurseries for nearly 20 years, Detti ensures our childcare standards and Academy content remain the most practical and relevant in the capital.
