For 12 years now, our primary focus at Tembo Care (and our roots as Hello Mums) has been the beginning of life. We’ve spent over a decade in the thick of it with London’s nurseries; navigating the first steps, the morning rushes, and the beautiful chaos of the early years. Supporting nurseries remains at the very core of what we do, but as our own team and community have grown, so has our vision for what "care" really looks like.
The Evolution of Tembo
While we are still proudly supporting hundreds of nurseries across the capital, we have realised that the need for dependable, high-quality staffing doesn't end when a child leaves the EYFS. Our journey has naturally led us into new territory. Today, we are proud to provide dedicated carers for children’s residential homes and professional support for retirement homes.
This expansion wasn't a sudden pivot, but a gradual response to what we were seeing in the sector. Whether it’s a nursery manager struggling with ratios or a retirement home manager looking for a compassionate pair of hands, the challenge is the same: finding people who actually care.

We realised that the same high standards and rigorous safeguarding we brought to childcare were desperately needed in the adult care sector.
Our team brings a unique blend of experience to this mission. From Kate’s 20 years in childcare and work with Age UK, to Anna’s deep background in adult social care and GP surgeries, we aren't just "filling shifts." We are connecting businesses with professionals who understand that a grandparent with dementia deserves the same thoughtfulness and respect as a teething baby in a nursery.
