The simple answer to that is yes, they can send you home early.
Basically, if they are not happy with you for whatever reason, or if there is situational change such as the number of children has dropped, a relative arrived to be with the person you care for or the family got home earlier than planned, they can ask you to leave early.
The minimum hours they have to pay is four hours. If you are not happy to go home early, but you have not done anything wrong you can ask the client to let you stay the full shift.
If you are in agreement to finish early and have mutually decided to shorten your job with the client, you must notify us in writing (jobs@tembocare.co.uk) or via phone call (020 3893 3336).
It happens very rarely that they need to send you home unless they are not happy with your performance at work.
Please always be proactive, friendly, interested and as helpful as possible. If a client feels like there's no help whatsoever coming from you, they will ask you to leave and they won't pay you for the hours they booked you.
