Every setting has very strict safeguarding rules in order to protect the children and/or adult(s) you look after. When you take a job, you need to follow this policy.
Just before you enter the setting you must switch your smartwatch airplane mode on.
You are not allowed to make and/or receive phone calls, messages and emails or take pictures with it while you are on the setting’s premises.
Just as you are not allowed to use your phone in the setting you are not allowed to use the phone capabilities on your watch.
You must put your watch in airplane mode as soon as you arrive at the setting, you are still able to see the time and count the steps in this mode, however some settings might have a strict policy and they will ask you to put your device in their locker. Please note that if this is the setting’s own policy, you must adhere to their guidelines.
Please note that if you break this rule, the incident might be reported to LADO or CQC and it may also be recorded on your DBS as well.
