Upon arrival at the care setting (early years or adult care), you must present your ID and DBS certificate, introduce yourself, and sign in.
The manager, deputy or senior staff will guide you to your designated room.
If you are a returning carer: You should be familiar with the routine and expectations.
If you are new: The room leader/deputy or the care manager/senior staff will introduce themselves and provide you with specific instructions, which you must always follow.
Engagement and Professionalism
We expect you to be proactive, interested, and helpful at all times. Remember, you have been requested because the setting needs extra support. Do not remain idle or wait for your shift to end; this is not beneficial to anyone.
Always be active, friendly, and willing to assist.
